On another note... The Armagetron Fortress League (AFL for short) started a few weeks ago, and 2 friends and I started a team for it. So far we are UNDEFEATED. Yes, thats right. Undefeated. :D We beat the best european players on a european server. Now THATS something. Although, two of their best players didn't show up because of conflicts... But... We'll be playing them again in the playoffs, so that'll determine who's the best. :) And we'll be playing on an American server then... :P

Well this was kind of a boring post. I guess my life has been kinda boring lately... :P Oh well, maybe I'll put a more interesting post later.

Crazy Week

Well, this week has been a pretty hectic week. I took my chinese midterm after not studying AT ALL (not a good idea). I still made an 84 on it, so I was pretty happy. :) I've been kind of slacking off lately... I skipped a Calculus II class this week and a History class. I have a Cal II exam tomorrow, so hopefully missing that class won't bite me in the... :P In fact I was studying for that... I'm taking a break now though. :) Blogging and checking all my little online games. :P

Yesterday was Hilary's birthday, and Ashley's birthday was sometime around here... Maybe yesterday too? I'm not sure, but we celebrated both their birthdays yesterday. I called Louie at about 1 PM to see what was going on and what the plans were for the day. He said that in 2 or 3 hours he and Hilary would come pick me up and bring me to Rice. Well... 8 PM rolls around... And I'm thinking, uhh... xD Luckily I hear an AIM message, and its Robert telling me he's coming to pick me up. :D I got TWO naps in and NO studying for my Cal II test done. Productive Friday afternoon? I think not... :P

He picks me up and we head to Rice to pick Ashley, Hilary, and Louie up. We end up driving around because Hilary can't pick somewhere to eat... Thankfully everyone agrees on Ninfa's. Good mexican food. :D I got fajitas. Yum& :P Expensive, but actually very good. :D

Oh ya, I FINALLY remembered that my phone has a camera. :D






We went back to Rice, where we watched Louie attempt to make this cake. It turned out fairly well I thought& :D Well done LaXang. :D

Wow, its been a month...

I cannot believe its been a month since I last blogged... xD Oh well, here we go again. :D

Okay, well... Recently not much has been going on. I have 3 tests coming up next week, my Chinese midterm, my 2nd history test, and my 2nd calculus test. I'm not too worried about the chinese midterm, because Zhang laoshi (laoshi=teacher) told us that all we need to do is study the past (cue)uizzes (omg I can't type cues, more on that later) to do well on this midterm. Seeing as how I did pretty well on the past (cue)uizzes, I think I'll be all right with 2 or 3 hours of studying for this exam. Now, mind you, these 2 or 3 hours of actual studying may e(cue)uate to about 6 or 7 hours real time, but we'll work on it. :D The history test though... That one's going to be a bummer. Hopefully I can get the book and the articles out of the way tomorrow so that I can focus on studying my history notes and for the chinese midterm on sunday. The cal II test will be difficult because i skipped one or two classes this sections, so I'll have to go back and read the book on those. :/

OMG, in the top left of my keyboard, 5 keys just stopped working. My esc and tab keys, my tilda (sp?), my 1(used num pad for this one), and my cue (sound it out) key. Since my one key went out, I fear that I sound different cause I can't use exclamation points anymore. :( But for now, I'm using '&' as my exclamation point. :) Another problem... In Armagetron, I need the cue key to triple bind and double bind. In other words, my life becomes harder without the cue key. Of course, I could just rebind the keys to something else, but after a year, my hands automatically go back to the original position because they're so used to it. :/ So I've been singlebinding... xD This isn't a good time, because the AFL (Armagetron Fortress league) is happening now, and we have a match every sunday. Kind of a pain... Maybe I can ask Louie if I can borrow his laptop for it& :D

Omg, I don't know what to do... I have half of a pizza leftover and it won't fit in my small refridgerator... Should I just leave it out? I don't really have a choice... I can't just THROW away a half of a pizza. Thats such a waste& I can't eat it though cause I'm full from the other half of the pizza... Decisions decisions... Well after saying that, I'm leaning towards just leaving it out and eating it tomorrow. Breakfast pizza and lunch pizza ftw& :D

Wow, I just realized I have a LOT to blog about, LOL. xD

So, I stopped playing online poker last Saturday. I recorded my last session and I've been clean ever since. I've got a healthy amount in there, $155 if I ever decide to start playing again. As of right now, I think I'm done for who knows how long. :D

In order to get my mind of poker, I've been doing other things. Like playing a little more armagetron and starting up maple story again. Yea yea, I know... But, its better than losing money in poker, right? :P I also started playing Kings of Chaos about 2 weeks ago. Feel free to sign up if you're bored. :D

Okay, my friend told me it looked like I was recruiting for the American army. Let me clarify. THIS IS JUST A GAME. ;D LOL& I cracked up when he told me that. :P Although you would be joining MY army if you sign up under this. More people are definately welcome. The more the merrier, right? :D Feel free to ask me for an explanation if you need one. This game only re(cue)uires about 30 minutes a day, or one or 2 hours every few days. Very simple game, even though it may not seem like it at first.

Well thats enough of that.

This past Monday I started working out. "WHAT? Aaron Wong working out? No wai&" Srsly, thats what I said. Omg why am I doing this? Well because I want to look better (even though I KNOW my smexy pale skinny 'can see my ribs' body is hawt). There's nothing wrong with looking hawtter right? :P No, but seriously, I want to look healthier. I want to BE healthier. And nothing wrong with wanting to be strong right? :P Gotta work it for the ladies& :D Well anyways, i ran a mile on Monday, which i have never even come close to in my WHOLE life. So I was very impressed with myself. I don't care if you can run ten miles, I still feel good about running just one. :D And then I worked out a circuit on the weights. It included pretty much everything I think... I'm not so sure, because I was just following what Louie was telling me. I also did this on Wedensday and today (Friday), although today I (cue)uit the circuit half way through cause I felt really really awful. The mile today was really pushing it I think. I still made it though& :D

Omg, I went to target the other day... And I finally bought a crap load of food. I mean, like woah. I have so much junk food which will probably last me until christmas break (woah, i know right? :P). I have pringles, tostitos, ruffles, nutter butter bites, kudos, picante sauce, french onion dip, easy mac, cheez-its, peanut butter cheese crackers, and poptarts. LOTS of poptarts. :D I also got another 12 pack of dr pepper and a case of dasani water (the best water, thank you very much). :)

My refrigerator has been making very strange LOUD noises at very random times. I think there's something wrong with it... Okay, well there has to be SOMETHING wrong with it... I don't think refrigerators are supposed to sound like a truck engine. LOL& xD I usually shake it around and hit it and it usually calms down. :P Ghetto? Yes. ;D

I've been going to the music building pretty often to play in a practice room on a piano. Okay, well it hasn't been that often. I'd say an average of 2 times a week (even though this week I have yet to go). I've been practicing this Rachmaninoff piece thats absolutely AMAZING. I can't wait to be able to play it like a pro. :D Its so much fun to practice too. :P I've also been working on other pieces that i have learned before (or that I say I've learned... Haven't (cue)uite perfected them yet. :P). I've also been working on a little music writing 'project' as I like to call it. More on that later... ;D

Sadly, I don't have any new pictures to put up. I haven't been taking pictures faithfully like I was at the beginning of the year. :/ Although next time you see a picture of me, i'll be RIPPED& :D "omg, is that aaron wong?" Yes. Yes it is. LOL&

Man, I have so much to talk about, but I'm going to stop here, for your sake. I don't want anyone falling asleep while reading, or thinking 'omg, does he really expect me to read all of this? I'm done...' :P I'll post more tomorrow or something...

It feels like it's been a long time since I've blogged... And not much has happened since I last blogged... xD

Let's see... I had my first exam last week in my Intro to Anthropology class. I got the test back last Thursday and got 48 out of 50 questions correct, and she gave us a free question, so I made a 98! :D Sweet! :P

I just took my first History exam today. Surprisingly, the hardest part was the multiple choice. The test consisted of 17 multiple choice questions (2 points each), 1 essay over the articles he assigned (20 points), 1 essay over the book entitled, "The Jungle" (20 points), and 1 big essay over a broad topic, and a bonus question. Each essay had a choice of 3 different questions to answer. So if you made a perfect score, you could actually make a 107. I KNOW i didn't make a perfect score, because I didn't answer the bonus question. It asked what the 3 course objectives were... How was I supposed to know to memorize that... O_o I think I got most of the multiple choice correct, except for maybe 2 or 3 i wasn't sure about.

He gave us 3 articles to read for this exam, and he said there would be 3 questions on the exam over the articles that we could choose from. Well, this prompted me to read one article, the shortest article. When i was scanning my exam before I began to work, I saw the article essay questions and i saw... "The Wizard of Oz" "The Wizard of Oz" "Chief Joseph". I instantly FREAK OUT, cause I read "Big Stick Abroad" and chose to ignore EVERYONE when they told me to read another article just in case. I start thinking "S*** S*** S*** S***" over and over again to myself while I began the multiple choice. When I got back to the short essay, I realize that the first question asks... Choose one of these articles "The Wizard of Oz," "Chief Joseph," or "Big Stick Abroad" and explain the themes and the author's thesis providing at least 2 details. I instantly feel MUCH better, LOL. That scared me sooo much... LOL.

Today's been a pretty good day! :) Woke up and chatted with Felicia and studied for my exam, then went to lunch with Louie and Hilary in the University Center. Got some good Chick-Fil-A! :P Then after that I went to study in the library and went to my history exam.

Came back and went to my Anthropology class then came back and played a few poker tournaments. :D Donked myself out of one of them... Was playing rather stupid. I think it's cause I'm tired, maybe I'll go to bed soon... :P

Oh, yes the weekend!

Well let's start with Thursday night. I was doing really well in 2 tournaments and I told Louie and Hilary I would buy them dinner if I final tabled in either event. I came pretty dern close in one, placing 14th and winning a fair amount of money. I went ahead and treated them and Robert to dinner anyways! :P We went to House of Pies at like 12:30 AM and ate there. Hilary, Robert, and I got cheeseburgers and Louie ate soup (something's wrong here...). O_o We chatted there for a while then we went to Robert's dorm and watched the 2nd Alien movie, then slept over there. We had a good time! :P

I had class the next day at 2:30, so Louie had to take me back (grumble grumble). Nothing much really happened after that... I went to class and it was a normal day. XD

On Friday, I finished class and got ready for a loooong day of poker. :P Let's just say I won a looot of money on friday and didn't do much else. :)

The rest of the weekend just kinda flew by... Didn't really do much.

I just got back from my History class and am getting ready to go to my Anthropology class. Blog post break time! :P

Well, I haven't really done much lately. I've been working a lot on Chinese and I still have a lot more to do. I have loads of Calculus II homework I should be working on now. More for me to do later tonight... Sweet...! :/

I just realized I have absolutely nothing to talk about. Great! :/

Oh yea... Louie and Hilary are doing this diet thing called the "Aaron Wong Diet" where they eat only what I eat. If you know how much I eat and how much they eat, you'll understand exactly how much of a difference this is. Louie eats a lot... I eat not so much... :P I'm not sure if they're still doing it. I think they quit last night (we decided this yesterday at lunch). Good self-control eh? :D

Okay, sorry, don't have much to say. Maybe something interesting will happen before my next post! :P

Everything's okay

It's okay, I convinced my dad that I didn't charge my card. I called the bank this morning and they canceled my card and are sending me a new one. I have to call them or go to the bank on tuesday cause they're closed today (sunday), and tomorrow (labor day). Thank goodness this can be fixed... xD I was really worried, so sorry about that last post. :/

Oh well, forget about it. :P

Today, I went over to the Hudson's and played computer games for a few hours, then went over to WillyP's house to play poker. That went REALLY well. Came out fairly up... :P :P :D Well it made me feel better! :)

And now, I'm just kinda browsing the net, so I think i'm goin to go back to that.

Omg...

Wow... My dad called me from poker (which i came out 70 dollars up), and said that he needed me to come home immediately. Now... my dad has never done this before, so I decided it was something really important... And that got me nervous. I thought someone was in the hospital, or someone died... Or something really bad...

Anyways, I get home, and my dad says... Look at your bank account.

I look at my bank account:

$897 was charged to it... I only had $100.20 in it. My balance ended up being negative. To make things worse, my dad didn't think someone took the money, he THOUGHT I USED IT FOR ONLINE POKER. I told him, no, i'm not insane enough to do something like that. I don't think he believes me... So, for lack of better words...

I'm fucked.

Hey guys, I haven't really done much since the last time I posted.

Yesterday I had my first US History from 1865 to present day class. My teacher seems cool, but he's kinda like... Middle aged and tries to fit in with the teenagers now. He made a lot of alcohol jokes and curses a lot. I think he's all right, but I haven't heard him lecture on history yet, so we'll see... I just finished reading half of my reading for tomorrow. Gotta do the other half tonight! :D

After my history class, I went to go get my meal plan changed, and hopefully it'll be done by tomorrow. I put that I wanted 9 meals a week instead of 15 (I NEVER used all 15 of my meals last year...). I also will have more cougar cash to use around campus. Cougar cash is basically cash on your card, except you can only use it at certain places on campus. I think it's so parents can make sure their kids eat. :P

After that, I headed over to my Intro to Anthropology class which was all right. Looks like it's going to be a rather boring class. The professor talks really softly and kinda asks a lot of questions. It's almost like a discussion. She didn't really go over anything, so I have no idea how hard the class will be. The only reason she talked to us was because the movie projector wasn't working. After the IT person got it working, we watched a movie for an hour about race (great fun...). After that I came back and met Louie and Hilary for dinner.

Seems like this will be a good semester. I think Chinese will be my most difficult class, but fun. It looks like I'm going to have the most work in Cal II because my teacher assigns homework every single class day to be done for the next lab. :/ Oh well...

Soooooo... I'm done. I think we're going to be making a trip to Target tonight, so I can get a soap dish and a USB game controller! :P :D

I think... I'm going to take a nap now. Nah, I'm gonna work on Chinese. THEN take a nap. :)

First Day of School

Oh boy! First day of school was cool. First class was Elementary Chinese at 9:00 AM so I got up at about 7:00 AM to take a shower. Unfortunately all the showers were taken... -.- So I just put on some clothes and grabbed my backpack and went down to breakfast after checking my e-mail, facebook, and other such things. Met Hilary in the elevator on the way down and met Louie on my way to the dining hall. Ate my eggs, bacon, and hash browns then headed to my class.

I really like my teacher, Jing Zhang, she seems like a really good teacher. During the 2 hour class, we went over the 4 different tones and went over some different commonly used phrases, such as: How are you? My name is _____. And we also went over how to respond to them. I'm really excited to learn chinese! :D

Oh yea, at the beginning of the class, she made everyone introduce themselves, and tell their major, year, and why they're taking chinese. One girl was like, "I'm fluent in chinese, and I'm taking this class for an easy A." Bad idea. If you're doing that, why would you tell the teacher... xD Well that didn't end up well. Oh yea, some guy was like, i'm doing it to meet cute chinese girls. LOL! A few other people said things like "Yea!" and "Amen!". Haha, it was really funny. azn chix = hawt :P

Apparently she's not going to teach us how to write, so we have to do it by ourselves. I bet that's gonna be fun... :/

Next class: Calculus II at 11:00 PM, so I rushed over there to make it on time. My Calculus teacher... Is very... Boring. Good thing I don't have it first thing in the morning or else I may just sleep through it. :P I'm kidding, gotta make straight A's this semster! :) That one hour class seemed to go by slower than my 2 hour chinese class. xD Maybe it was boring cause I already knew it. Oh well... After that was Calculus II lab in a ridiculously small room with a ridiculously large amount of people. That was boring as well...

We got out of there early at 12:30 PM, and I went over to the Chemistry building to see if I had a lab that afternoon (because last year I didn't have chem lab for the first week), and I didn't! :D I was done with school, so I went to meet Hilary for lunch at the Satellite. I waited forever for my pepperoni pizza and breadsticks... But it was good! I'm soooo full now... :/

After that, I walked Hilary over to her class in room 102 of the art building. Jewelsmithing... Hrmm.... We get there and we walk around the first floor looking for room 102, and I see a room 100 and a room 104 and a room 106, and decide that the room must be directly in between 100 and 102. I told Hilary, don't worry, it's like the Harry Potter, just walk straight through the wall. LOL! :D Well, we walk over to the office and we discover her class isn't in 102... It's in 122. :/

I left her there and walked over to the University Center to change my dining plan, and they tell me I need to go to the Moody Towers Area Coordinator's office, so I head there. I get there and they tell me I have to go to OB hall Housing office... I said, dude whatever, I'm tired of walking, I'm goin up to my room. So I'm here, and I'll probably end up doing that later today or tomorrow.

Whew, that was a lot of typing, I think I'm done for today! :D I'll probably post about my classes tomorrow, on the morrow. :P

I'm finally unpacked and stuff. Yesterday, when I got here, I came and put all my stuff in my room, then went to buy all my schoolbooks. After that I said goodbye to my dad, then went to meet Hilary and Louie. We went to try and get Hilary a room change, and a room change for Louie and I so we could room together. Unfortunately, we can't apply until September 10th, so I went ahead and unpacked everything.

Then Louie left to go bring his sister to his mom, so Hilary and I hung out in my room for a bit. Then we went to go get Wendy's which DOES have a dollar menu! Yay! :D We then went to the library and found out it closes at 5:30, or somethin like that... :/ Theeeen, we went to the IT place so we could get our passwords and stuff to get on the Internet. We came back and kinda sat around until Louie got back. Then we went to Target to get some stuff.

My roommate is pretty cool, he's in computer engineering and seems like a party dude. Uh oh... xD He came in last night, and was like... So you party a lot huh? "Me?!??! LOL!" I didn't actually say lol. I think that would come across as kinda... Well... :P He said the quiet ones are the ones you have to look out for. ;) He also has 20 pairs of sneakers... O_o

I don't really have much planned today and tomorrow. Just kinda chillin', waiting for school. I'll probably spend all my time with Hilary and Louie. :D
